Must see in Stockholm: Mood Stockholm

La boqueria

This is the first of my post dedicated to the absolutely "must see" in Stockholm.

I have been meaning for quite a while to write a post about the "must see" in Stockholm. Forget the Stadshuset (where the Nobel ceremony takes place) and Gamla Stan, my guide is dedicated to places that aren't mentioned in touristic guides, hidden treasures that you have absolutely to visit if you decide to come and visit Stockholm. And now that the spring arrived, the light is all around and the flowers start to blossom, is time to reveal the secrets of my new city.

The first post is dedicated to a new department store, opened last Saturday downtown: "Mood Stockholm". And the mood of the new shopping center is absolutely great: a perfect mix of unique boutiques in town and très chic restaurants.

Mood is the perfect place if you want to buy retro dresses with a budget price (Retro Industry), if you like the minimal nordic design (Marlene Birger, Acne, Filippa K) and if you don't want to miss the best Italian and French brands (walking into Stockholm Market you will fall in love with a Rocha's ruffled blouse, with a colorful Missoni cardigan or for an amazing pair of Aperlai's pumps).

And even the ones who likes to have a gourmet break during a shopping session, will find very nice restaurants. If you are in the "Mood" you can taste Barcelona's style tapas at the Boqueria, japanese fusion at EAT (European Asian Taste) or even baguettes ò la parisienne at the café Egoïste.
